Are Folding Arm Awnings waterproof?
Rule of thumb, if you do not want to get wet, so doesn’t your folding arm awning! The folding arm awning is designed to be a shade solution, in saying so it will take a light drizzle of rain, but water cannot pool on the fabric. The awnings are a shade solution not a weatherproofing solution
How long do retractable awnings last?
We will not sell folding arm awnings that have to be replaced next year! We sell quality built European awnings that a designed to last 30+ years. Fabric life expectation is between 10 – 15 years and can very simply be replaced.
How far can an awning extend?
As each folding arm awning is custom made to measure, you can mostly choose the projection (extension) that you are after. The smallest projection that is possible is 1600mm at a 1500mm width. We can have one of our awning go out as far as 5100mm this is a commercial grade awning and is suitable for sturdy steel structures. The standard maximum projection that is achievable before hitting any engineering restrictions on a residential structure is 4000mm.
